Forging Ahead

HOW IT STARTED:

Amateurs.

HOW IT’S GOING:

Higher Stakes.

Long time without a blog post. Because…

We’ve been busy!

It’s been a whirlwind of finishing up construction, getting licensing, hooking up and figuring out our new enormous (to us, anyways) brew system, cleaning, sanitizing, brewing, transferring, kegging, dragging hoses… A lot of hose dragging.

We started out late August open just one day a week, but have since expanded our hours to Fridays 5-10pm and Saturdays 12-10pm.

We’ve had great turnout and successful events – Oktoberfest, Halloween, New Year’s…

And we’ve remembered to have a lot of fun along the way:

Mostly, we’ve been so surprised and grateful for all the support and patronage from the public. It’s been great getting to know all of you wild wonderful people. Some of you are locals, some of you are just passing through, and some of you have even made the trip from far away just to see us. We are so happy and humbled for the opportunity to share our little spot with all of you.

So here’s a CHEERS to all of you!

  • Planning on coming out soon with the family to give it a tasting. Page looks awesome, lots of hard work to get this far, Congrates.

  • Jan Flessner ('68), Bleich and Bill Bleich, both originally from Thawville. Didn't know you are both IWU Alums, and your kids! We've heard good things about the brewery, we'll stop by when we're back in IL!!
